Monster Curry
2 days ago I went to this restaurant called Monster Curry with my darlings to eat Branch =DAnd it was AWESSSOME!!
the bowl was humongous !! And the serving size is like for 2-3 people per bowl. PER BOWL!
Not only that it is BIG! it is DELICIOUS!
The curry comes in 5 different levels of spiciness :) it is the kind where it tastes sweet at the beginning and slowly you will feel the spiciness wrapping around your tongue then the entire mouth!! We ordered level 1,2,3 and they were all good .
The meat! Ah! The MEAT! it's fried tonkatsu !!!!!!!! Chicken and fish in large pieces like 25cm long! It's very crispy and warm. Not too oily and when combined with rice and the curry sauce. OMG! it's heaven!
They had a small portion of shabu shabu and cabbage salad plus a small one tablespoon of ginger :) the red ginger pieces you get to see from sake sushi and other Japanese food outlets.
it enhances your appetite.
The drinks there are really expensive like 2.00 onwards so it is better to buy your own bottled drinks from like NTUC or Cold Storage. I know it's A very "auntie" like kind of thinking but then trust me. Who would want to buy a $2 oolong tea where you can buy it for like at a lower price outside? And also, these supermarts are all around the neighborhood!!
The original price of a bowl is like $20++ . But then somehow one of my friends managed to buy coupons that are worth $9.99 for each bowl! But I think the sales are over. I think.
